we finally made the big move back to civilization... but don't get too excited... just yet.... i'm actually staying with my mom and sister's in farmington for the time being. tyler STILL is working in dugway. so he stays at a friend's bacherlor house mon, tues, wed night. then he makes the long drive up here and we go stay at his gma's in sunset during the weekend. yes... it pretty much sucks but it'll be worth it when we get our OWN place. i got a swweeeet job at starbucks in bntfl as a barista. it's only part time. it's alright for now... i'm getting used to it and getting more experience. it's harder than it may seem. there is a lot to learn. i'm still so shy, hopefully i will get used to dealing with border-line "snobby" customers. but really- most of them are really nice. i just miss working at the hospital with all my friends and my mom. hopefully some day i will go back to clerking. i sure hope so. so... anyone PLEASE come in and visit me at work... i'll make u a yummy latte! and i am soooooooooooooo eternally grateful for my mom for letting me stay at her house and for her always watching my outta control wild child who wakes up at 5 am. you're the bEST MOM!!! love you!

Tracy-Cassie-Joni-Jana-Becky Our friend Joni got married last week and this is a picture from her bridal shower. WOW! It's crazy.. looking back when we were all single and partying every weekend. Now all of us are married and some with kids. It is such a good feeling to be all together again and know that friends are 4ever!
I love this time of year. Though I enjoy the hot lazy days of summer... I'm so excited for Autumn. Today it was perfect weather. Overcast and cool. There was even a little rain shower. Just enough to go outside and play. Everyone loves the smell of rain, right?

Happy Birthday my little man! Dax had his 3rd birthday yesterday. It was much fun. I arranged a little friend party for him at our house. 8 of his little friends came over that evening. We made "rock people" had chocolate cake and icecream and just played in the sandbox. It was a fun little get together for Dax. A spiderman scooter, transformer, & costruction vehicles for presents! This year we finally went camping with the whole family. We went to Bear Lake St. Charles Canyon over Pioneer Day weekend. It had been a LONG time since the entire family had gone camping together. There was LOTS of people: Mom, Jana, Tyler, Dax, Brian, Jena, Julie, Tyler, Tara, Chase, Krista, Emilee, Aimee, Tyer's MOM Kim, and Sister Vanessa. 15 people and lots of food to prepare. As couples, we took turned preparing and serving each meal. So mom wasn't doing all the work. The first day we spent the whole day at the beach. That night we roasted marshmallows and enjoyed the starry sky. Then the next day we went to the beach again. Everyone got lots and lots of sun. Then we stopped by this little pond that is so crystal clear. we took pictures and the boys jumped in and froze. So that night we had a delicious dinner and sat around the fire. Sunday morning we drove up the rest of the canyon to Minnetonka Cave. It's 1 hour and 45 minute tour. It was SOOOOOOO COOL and beautiful. WOW i can't say enough. On our way out we stopped at a shady picnic spot and had hogi sandwiches! What a great trip and it was so nice that we were all together. I have so many pictures so I tried to pick out one of everything that we did. EnJoY:)!

I was looking through my photos and I found this one and wanted to share. "What is a friend? I will tell you...it is someone with whom you dare to be yourself." ~ Frank Crane
What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies. ~ Aristotle
"To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world."

This weekend we rented a fishing boat from MWR on base. Tyler and Julie cam with us. We took it up to East Canyon. I caught the first fish! It was too small though, so we put it back. Tyler caught 5! We spent the whole day up there and got some sun. It was a lot of fun. Dax spent the day with Grandma and he had fun too.

Tyler built this sandbox in our backyard this weekend. We bought the wood at the Home Depot and then we went and got the sand, from the sand dunes in Johnson's Pass. FREE SAND!!! Dax absolutely LOVES it though. He has all his trucks and shovels in there. From the moment we wake up in morning he's outside digging. Thanks DAD!
look how great this picture is of Tyler throwing Dax up in the air.
wow, i can't believe summer is finally here! i am excited for this warm weather and outdoor activities. we are doing pretty good around here. the pool opened on memorial day weekend and we've been taking Dax. he loves the "kiddie" pool. this past week we had the pleasure of aunt Meena and cousin Nora coming to Utah. we spent a few days at mom's house hanging out. we enjoyed fish tacos, Costco, playing with the four wheeler, tubing and just enjoying each other's company. the last time we saw Meena and Nora was almost 5 years ago on our wedding day. Nora just 3 months old. looking forward to a great and relaxing summer! p.s. More Pictures on the way~!
the first bear lake trip of the summer! we went camping and fourwheeling over memorial day weekend. it was so much fun~
Feeling VERY grateful today. Uncle Brian teaching Dax how to play his guitar. Rachelle and I took the kids to the Tree House Museum in Ogden last week. It was so much fun! There were lots of different things for kids to learn and explore. Dax loved riding on the firetruck. He didn't want to get off. And the train station was really fun too! Dax and Shelby had a little tea party with Peter Rabbit and shared Pink Muffins. It was such a nice place to let the kiddies run around and play. We were there for 2 hours and it was actually very relaxing! I am seriously considering getting a season pass. It's only $30 and worth every penny! And we found out it's 100% tax deductible. Anyways...!!! HAPPY EARTH DAY yesterday. Dax and I planted sunflowers in the backyard and took a nice long walk. (picking up any garbage we saw) I love this earth and nature! I also wanted to mention a movie that Tyler and I watched the other night. Called, Into The Wild. All I can say is.... WOW WOW WOW. It was such an amazing movie and one of the most inspirational ones I've seen. It makes me so grateful for the life I live and how truly blessed I really am. I have been really trying to enjoy my life and be happy. A lot has gone on the last few years and some very hard trials and tribulations. But, I'm still here and so is my family. And i Love them, and I'm so thankful for them. I feel so lucky that i am able to stay at home with my little sweetheart Dax. I am so ever grateful for Tyler who works so hard. I am so incredibly honored to have such a wonderful friend Rachelle. I love her with all my heart and she has helped me so much. Taking time to stop and smell fresh air and looking at the beautiful mountains and trees really has made me more appreciate my life. |
