We had a wonderful Christmas. The kids made out like bandits! After opening all the gifts, Kels yelled out, "This is the BEST Chwistmas EVER!"  McGwire got a PS3. He was thrilled! He has been wanting one for quite a while now.  Oh, how she loves Hannah Montana!  Kelsea having a wonderful time tearing open her "loot"
I went to the doctor yesterday and they set the date for induction. Baby Addyson should make her debut on January 6th....that is unless she decides to grace us with her presence earlier (which by the way, I would be TOTALLY ok with). She is measuring almost 2 weeks ahead....so it sounds like we will be getting another 8 pounder or so. As far as I know, we have everything ready for her. I am so anxious....I have been very uncomfortable the past couple of weeks....so, I'm anticipating these next couple of weeks to CREEP by....ugh. But I know that she will definitely be worth the wait. 
My wonderful mother came into town this past week and stayed and worked like crazy. She painted the nursery, arranged furniture, cleaned the house, did laundry and cleaned out our garage. She was a godsend!
McGwire had to do a science experiment at school this past Friday. He did such a good job. I would never have dreamed that he would be so confident and speak so well in front of all of his classmates. He called his experiment "black magic". He took a coffee filter and made a black dot in the center with a black "magic" marker. Then, he took a dropper with water and dropped a couple of drops of water on the dot. We watched as the water made the black dot spread all over the filter all the while changing several different colors. I thought it was very cool! I was very proud of him. 
McGwire had his birthday party at Incredible Pizza. He had a wonderful time. He had around 20 of his closest friends in attendance.  Cheesin' with his cake....what a silly boy!  Make a wish!  Sticking his finger in the cake....family tradition!  Getting ready to dig into all those gifts!
  Dava, Mom, Tiffany, JoDana and Tara gave me and Baby Addyson a wonderful shower! We had such a great time! The food was wonderful. I had a lot of fun spending time with my friends and family. Thank you everyone for the wonderful gifts and for coming to spend this time with me!  Jill with Baby Isabelle...she is so adorable....she makes me REALLY want Addyson to hurry and get here!  Emily, Mom, Dava and Brooke  Dakota, Stephanie, Sarah, Paula and Morgan  Tara made this absolutely adorable diaper cake for me.....I'm so proud of how creative she is!  I just loved the cake......cute and yummy!
McGwire turned 8 years old today! Ugh....I can't believe it. It makes me so sad to think that he is already so big. These 8 years have literally flown by for me. He is such a little man now. He was so proud......he stood up next to me and he was almost to my shoulders! He said, "Look, Mom at how BIG I am now!" (just a few pics of him opening his gifts) He opened his gifts right after he got ready for school....7:30 am. He looks so tired!  This is probably my favorite gift he got......It is a Radio Controlled car that is zero gravity.....it drives up the walls and ceiling......so cool!  Gotta love the Spiderman pj's.  A miniature golf game for the Wii  "Sweet, Tiger Woods"
 
We had our 4-D ultrasound today. It was so amazing to see all of Addyson's little features and to try and figure out who she looks like. She weighs 3 lbs. 14 oz.....a big girl!    
We took the kids down our street to a Trunk or Treat. Then, we went to Papa and Mema's house.....where they filled their bags to capacity.
Tonight was Hallelujah night at church. The kids had tons of fun jumping on the moon bounce and playing all the games. They came home with tons of "loot".  McGwire was a basketball player, Karly was Hannah Montana and Kels was Sleeping Beauty.   Emily was a cute 'lil poodle.  Abby and Kels were "twins". They were so happy to look alike!  Brady was Captain Jack Sparrow  Presley was the cutest little skunk ever.
The kids had "Crazy Day" at school Friday. McGwire was sick and didn't get to go. But Karly got all decked out........she was hilarious! (of course, Kels had to get in the pic)  Our good friends, David and Leslie Ellis had their baby boy last Tuesday. His name is Samuel "Luke". We took the kids up to the hospital to visit him Tuesday evening. Karly got to hold him first. She did NOT want to give him up for ANYONE!  Baby Luke! Isn't he just precious? McGwire was practicing his big brother skills.
 Of Course baby Kelsea had to hold him too. She was all into it! Ever since, she asks me EVERY day..."Mommy, is baby Addyson coming out today?" The kids were goofing off in the lobby around the fountain! McGwire was in Ryan and Chauntay's wedding last weekend in Nashville. He looked so handsome in his tuxedo.      McGwire and Karly got ready for school and wound up matching.
 Karly had her 6th birthday party at Incredible Pizza. She had such a good time.          |
