ZAC.CATHERINE.ISABELLE.AVA Four years ago today I made the best decision of my life. I married my lovie. It has been a roller coaster ride with two babies, lived in 5 places, and new careers. It has been awesome and I love you so much! I am so grateful for the husband, father, and man that you are. You have been such a great example to me and our girls and I love the way you love me and especially the way you love our babies! Here's to another million crazy years! Happy Anniversary Bub!
Each year my brother Sean and his wife Jana host a family Christmas party. We have dinner and a talent show and then head over to the temple to see the lights. This year they threw in the Nativity too and it was great! Our niece Grace was Mary and her sister Abigail was Joseph. Baby Henry was baby Jesus and they were so cute! Eliza and Gweny were the shepards and baby Benson was the lamb. He had on a head band that Jana had put some cotton on. It was awesome! Lucy and Anna were the angels and Isabelle was the wiseman with the gifts. It was so funny to watch them and they all got so into their parts. It is so great to see these innocent kids really getting it. They all understood what we were doing and were excited about it. I think that too often we forget the true meaning of Christmas and I feel very blessed to have these sweet spirits to remind us!
Our friends Nick and Jessica had their annual Christmas party the other night. We spiced it up this year with some SWEET sweaters. I know what you're thinking... that IS the best set of pictures of Mike you have and WILL EVER see! His sweater was pretty lame while he was sitting down but then he stood up and I almost threw up I was laughing so hard! It was an awesome party with the yummiest punch I've ever had! Thanks Nick and Jess. Oh and Mike for the hours of entertainment. ( I'm talking about right now too!)
We had a Christmas party at our house with some of my friends from beauty school days. It was a lot of fun but it was the White Elephant gift that really stole the show. I have to take credit for this SWEET Santa that I found at Fry's. This guy cracked us all up and now he rests mightly at the top of our tree. Next we have our GIANT blow up deer that is in our living room. Isabelle refused to let Zac put him outside because he is " Afraid of the dark and will be scared outside." Such a sweet girl! Thanks for coming guys! We will be doing it next year FOR SURE!
Our ward Christmas party this year was so fun. It was a luau theme and we had some awesome entertainment from a polynesian band and some dancers. Then we were fortunate enough to have Santa visit from the North Pole! Nothing like a FREE picture with the man without having to go to the mall! I thought that Ava would be scared to death but she LOVED him! Isabelle only asked for a candy cane so it should be smoothe sailing Christmas morning!
I know, I know we have been SO far behind! This year we had Thanksgiving at my parents house. The only sad part was that Zac was not there because he was in Hawaii. My sister and her family were in town so it was a blast. Food was aewsome of course and it was just a great day. Here are some pics of my cute nieces and nephews.
Our sweet baby got the chicken pox for Thanksgiving this year. I could be wrong but I don't think she was thankful for them. She endured it with grace and came out a champ! She still has little scars that I am praying will all go away. I would like to put out the disclaimer now.... if you get the chicken pox from us, I am so sorry! I will watch any kids for those mommies in need! Excuse the tooshie photo, it was just a little too cute!
We have been WAY out of the loop lately. First we were in Utah for a few weeks for Zac's brother's reception and to hang out with family. We got home right before Thanks giving and Ava got CHICKENPOX! ( More on that later) During all of which Zac was "working" in Hawaii. (Again...more on that later.) To top it all off, our computer crashed due to a virus and we have not had internet for almost TWO WEEKS!!! You don't realize what a computer nerd you are until it is gone. Bottom line, there has been MASSIVE DESTRUCTION at our house. Here are some pictures from our trip. I didn't take too many but as you can see Ava is mastering the naughty face. Check out that slashing with Grace in the tub... and eating Grandma's pumpkin!
So it came,I went, TOTAL geek but I really loved the movie. There are a lot of mixed reviews out there and a lot of people that like to make fun of me but I don't care. I don't make fun of you and I don't need to hear about it! We went to the midnight showing in Utah and even had a party before hand. You can see the pics on Annie's blog. I loved Edward and Bella and though I think the movie could have been better, let's remember it was from a low budget people and that the story came from a house wife's dream. Pretty awesome dream if you ask me! Can't wait for New Moon!
This Halloween was so fun. We decided to go with the witch theme this year and our cute babies were "scary" witches! Isabelle wore an AWESOME tu-tu courtesy of Taya Jones in our ward. She would say she was a ballerina witch, a scary witch, and a princess witch. Whatever kind, she was just dang cute! We went to our friends Brooke and Jason's house for some yummy soup and then headed off to our ward trunk or treat. Isabelle LOVED going around to all of the cars and then ran around like a crazy lady while hyped on some serious candy! Ava was as sweet as can be and looked so precious in her witch costume. Thanks Grandma Patti for the cute witch hat! Isabelle loved it! The next day we went to my friend Natalie's daughters birthday party. It was so much fun and such a clever party. She made a carnival in her back yard with booths and prizes and an AWESOME Farris wheel birthday cake. Can you people not invite my daughter to these parties??!!? She will get unrealistic expectations of her mother! :)! Happy Birthday Kylie Paige! We love you!
NO BUENNO AMERICA! NO BUENNO. I can not believe that this sweet baby has been in our lives for nine months already! I am so sad to see her grow, but it is so fun to watch her discover things and her FIRERY personality. She is growing into her own person and letting us all know about it. She STILL only has 1 tooth and if the others don't pop soon I might go crazy. She is re-discovering waking up in the middle of the night which has NOT been approved by mommy! She LOVES to eat and that doesn't mean baby food. She thinks she can have whatever you have and has proven that having one tooth does not slow her down. She loves her sister and they are the best of friends. Isabelle has always been SO sweet to her and I am sure will be teaching her all her naughty tricks very soon. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our girls and can't imagine a day without them.
Tommorrow is election day and no matter what your party or beliefs, make sure you get out there and VOTE!! We can not sit around and complain about things or worry aboutwhat is to come if we don't get out there and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! It is YOUR right. Thanks..... have a great day! Aparently there was a bee in our yard that thought it would be funny to sting little Iz while I had all the kids. She came runnug inside screaming and told me a bee had stung her. I thought she was joking ( I know...Bad MOM!) but lo and behold there was a stinger in her thumb! I freaked out and called my dad to come down and help me get it out. I wasn't sure how she would react but being the champ she is, it didn't even phase her. Does it count that she now screams bloody murder and the sight of even a fly?!?!? Oh well....BRAVE GIRL!
A few weeks ago I watched Annie and Mike's kids for them so they could go to Lake Powell. Zac "forgot" that it was the week we had them and planned a hunting trip. So it was Isabelle, Braden, Ava, Grace, and I all happy under one roof. I must say I am pretty proud of myself. The kids were actually very good and it was a great reminder for some birth control! It was fun for all but I was pretty tired when it was over! Gotta love those babies!
So this is just awesome. This is Isabelle at her best showing mommy what a good girl she can be. Staying up late, playing all day, no nap, and staying up late again is an amazing combo for a two and a half year old! Warning.. some of these shots may be too hot to handle! That's our sweet girl!
I know this is a lot of pictures but the reception was SO fun! We danced the night away and had a blast!
So these are way over due but I wanted to post them. The wedding was awesome and Zac looks pretty cute in these too and my sweet babies. Congrats Nick and CJ!
I don't have any pictures of Henry yet, but I wanted to say congrats to my brothers Sean and Brian and their wives Jana and Julie for the births of their baby boys! Benson Sean Elcock was born on September 18th and Henry Charles Elcock was born October 15th! Congrats guys! We love you and can't wait to meet little Henry! Little Benson Benson with his siters Anna and Eliza and my brother Sean
Last Saturday was Zac's brother Nicks wedding. It was so much fun and they both looked beautiful. I have never seen two people so giddy and crazy about each other, it was awesome! Isabelle and Ava wore some pretty cute dresses and Annie and Ginnie got some awesome shots of them throughout the day. I have a TON of my own pictures, but I am too lazy to upload them now so here I am ripping off my sister in laws. Thanks guys! Congrats Nick and Cydney Jo! We love you!
Gotta love Sleeping Beauty! We got the DVD yesterday and I don't know who was the most excited Isabelle, Me, or Zac! Yes that's right my husband is a Sleeping Beauty fan and not afraid to admit it! Well that would be ME!!! We did it! We ran the St. George marathon! Annie. Patti, Larry, and I started and FINISHED... key word FINISHED our marathon this weekend. I was one of the best and worst experiences of my life! It was pouring rain, freezing cold, and had WAY more hills than Patti said :), but we made it. Oh and someone forgot to inform me that a marathon is 26.2 miles not just 26! It was so great to meet all the people, challenge myself, accomplish a goal, and get to know my sister in law in a way I think only this could do. We laughed, cried, whined, cheered, and conquered and I love her so much for it! Thank you Larry and Patti for coming up with this CRAZY idea and helping me go through with it! You guys are amazing! Thank you Annie for being my crutch and soul sista, and thank you Zac for being SO understanding and supportive. You are so awesome and I could not have done it without you! Will I do it again... of course! Give me a few years or at least months though! Anyone that is considering it... DO IT!! For yourself... you can!!! And what was my time you ask? Not great... but good enough! Four hours and twenty eight minutes! |
