I can't believe that it is 2009, 2008 sure flew by for us! We had a great New Year's Eve party with our friends from Smithfield. They get the church for the night so there is enough room for everyone, they set a movie up for the kids or they could play in the Nursery so the adults can visit and play games, it was fun!
This is Blyss on New Year's Eve enjoying crackers and cheese, I think all the cheese ended up on her face. This weekend we finally decided to paint Hallee and Blyss' room pink, when we painted the house we brought the girls over and Hallee ran into her room and started crying and threw a huge fit because her room was not pink, ever since she has bugging us to paint it pink. I told her she had to wait until I found a new bed spread for her bed to make sure I got the right pink, 7 months later I finally found a bed spread that Hallee and I both agreed on. We still need to finish painting stripes and when I have it all decorated I'll share some picutres. This morning when I opened my blinds I saw this- Hallee and Zak created a heart in the snow- how sweet. Blyss created a little snow angel.

What a great christmas we had. We started our fun on Christmas Eve. Zak and I thought we should start a tradition, so we decided going out for Breakfast on Christmas Eve would be pretty fun, we really enjoyed it since we never go out for breakfast. Our next activity, we went sledding. Sledding wasn't so much fun for Hallee. We were at the top of the hill and Zak asked Hallee if she wanted to go down by herself and she said yes. He sent her down the hill and she runs into the one big snowman someone had created (this was at the school yard and so it is a big area and she runs into the only thing that there is to run into) and it throws her off the sled into the snowman ball, she was crying, and we only got her to go down the hill one more time with Zak and he tipped the sled over on her. Blyss and I went down three times and she thought it was fun. She kept saying, "fun!"
That after noon Hallee and I made sugar cookies for Santa Claus. Hallee kept asking when Santa was coming and we kept telling her when she is asleep. At 5:55 pm we found Hallee in her PJ's and in bed, because she wanted Santa to come so bad. We had to convince her she needed to stay up awhile. That night we read the Christmas story, sang songs, and let the girls open 1 present each.

Hallee in bed at 5:55 pm On Christmas morning we thought Hallee would be up bright and early, finally I got up at 7:30 and got ready, 8:30 came around and still no Hallee, so finally Zak woke her up because we were to excited. Hallee was so happy with what Santa brought her. Then when Blyss finally woke up she kept saying, "wow." Hallee and Blyss got a kitchen set, which they played with all day, and they each got a barbie horse and a barbie.

It was snowing and blowing like crazy here and we were hoping that we could go to Idaho the next day, things cleared up and we were able to go. We stayed with Zak's family, Zak's parents gave the girls a horse to ride, and they are having a ball with that too. We had a great time seeing both of our families and visiting. And we couldn't believe all the snow this past weekend.

Zak shoveling our driveway the day after Christmas, it took him 3 hours!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
This past week has been fun with holiday fun. Last Wednesday night Hallee's dance class went and performed at a Nursing Home, they did a cute job. They danced to the song, "I got Chicken Pox for Christmas," so they danced in their PJ's and had red dots all over their faces. When I figure out how to get the video from my camera to the computer I will post it.
On Thursday night was Hallee's preschool Christmas concert. Their singing was a little off key and they didn't know all the words, but the kids were funny to watch, especially when there was about 30 kids.

I finally was able to get all my Christmas shopping done- YEAH! Every place I went this last week was packed. Zak and I went to Walmart on Saturday- bad idea, I about had a panic attack, from feeling claustrophobic.
I also think I lost about 10 years off of my life this week. Usually when I'm getting ready in the morning Blyss is in the bathroom with me playing or whatever. Well this morning she wasn't, Hallee came into the bathroom, and I asked her what Blyss was doing, Hallee replied, "She is laying on the floor." I asked, "Is she okay?" Hallee then said, "You didn't hear her choking?" I threw my blush, which broke, ran into the front room, and Blyss was just laying on the floor watching tv and fine as can be. I'm not exactly sure why Hallee said that, but it scared the heck out of me.
Today we decided to make a ginger bread house, it was my first time. It is definatley not perfect or pretty, but the girls had tons of fun putting candy on it, eating frosting, and the candy also. Zak quit half way through, because it drove him crazy that it wasn't perfect.

On a sad note, a father of a boy in our Primary Class was killed in a car accident on Friday. They have four children the oldest being 13, I'm not exactly sure what I can do for him, if you have any ideas of what we could do for him or his family I would appreciate, I have no idea what to say or do and my heart aches for this family so much.
This past weekend we headed to Idaho. Zak's brother Rick and his wife Kristal were sealed in the Rexburg Temple. What a neat experience to witness this occasion and their two boys were also sealed to them. Their little baby, Crew was so happy for this event he was smiling and bobing around, and it was so fun to watch this little family be sealed. Afterwords we had a dinner and Hallee had so much fun playing with her cousins, they were all pretending to be dogs, it was funny to watch 8 kids running around on their knees, begging, and barking. Poor Blyss had the stomach flu or something, she had been puking all day and of course threw up at the dinner while everyone was eating, and Hallee announced to everyone, "My sister threw up." I'm sure everybody just loved this while they were eating. The next day Zak and I helped my Dad move his cows home in the freezing cold, snowy weather. Then we were going to go to the temple that afternoon, we drove about two miles, we couldn't see anything in front of us or see the edges of the road due to the snow blizzard, so we turned back around and just hung out rest of the night playing mormon rummy.
Zak and I also got some of our Christmas Presents early- my mom gave us the inn table, I'm so excited for it. Then Zak and I got ourselves a video camera, YEAH! I can finally record the fun things my girls do.
This is a picture of Blyss of how she usually looks around the house, no pants, high heels, and pushing a stroller. She is Miss Personality!

This past weekend we headed to Salt Lake to see the temple square lights. Traffic was horrible, we were stuck in traffic for 2 wrecks, not so fun when the kids are sick of being in the car. We made it to temple square and it was stinkin cold, and realized I had forgotten Blyss' coat(whoops!!!). So we layered her in the clothes that I had brought for her the next day, she seemed to be fine. We meet my parents, (2 of my brothers and I went in and got them a hotel at the Hilton and a gift certificate for the The Garden Restraunt for Christmas) and we walked through the lights and Nativity scenes, then we took a tour of the Conference Center, where Hallee almost knocked a picture off the wall- Zak and I lost about 3 years off our lives due to that one. The lights were pretty, and we all enjoyed seeing the lights. When we got back to the hotel the girls explored every inch of the hotel, they thought it was so much fun, it was hard to get them to settle down.

On saturday- Zak's Birthday, we went to the aquarium in Sandy, it was pretty good, they had some fun things to look at- the octupus was really cool. Both Hallee and Blyss just loved it. We did a little bit of shopping and headed for home. When we got to Logan we decided to stop and eat for Zak's Birthday, he chose Panda Express, we sat down and started to eat, Zak took one bite and just the look told me it all, there was peanuts in his dinner (for all of you who don't know, Zak is allergic to peanuts), so we hurried home and he took 7 Benadryl, he was pretty sick the rest of that night and on Sunday, but luckily the Bendadryl did the trick and we didn't have to take a trip to the Emergency Room. I can't believe that Panda Express didn't have that marked to have peanuts in it- talk about lawsuit, if someone was willing!!!!! Blyss also learned the word puke and hey this weekend. When we went home for Thanksgiving, she got car sick and pucked, I washed her carseat but it still stinks like puke, so I told her that her car seat stunk like puke, and she kept saying it, "puke, no puke." Then she has started saying" Hey, " to everything. If she doesn't like something you are doing she will say, "Hey." Like don't do that. It is so funny, she has the cutest little voice- well most of the time, I do get sick of hearing, "Mom, Mom, Mommmmy!" So we had some fun this weekend but also not so much fun experiences!
Today at preschool Hallee made a GingerBread House. Hallee's teacher said that she just sat and did hers and was so good, Hallee was so excited to show us her Ginger Bread House. Blyss was pretty excited over it too, she immediately starting taking candy off of the ginger bread house and eating it. We got our Christmas Tree up, thought I should take a picture before I have to take the bottom half of the decorations off. The girls can't keep their hands off the decorations, or Hallee is moving decorations around. We are getting so excited for Christmas.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I hope all of you did to. On Wednseday we headed up to Victor, Idaho to have family pictures done by Zak's sister. We then went to Rigby where we spent Thanksgiving day. We had such a yummy dinner and was fun to visit with everyone. That night my mom and sister in law- Erica, went to see Twilight, I really liked it and want to see it again, I had just finished the 1st book the day before, so it was fresh on the mind. I went and bought the 2nd book the next day and almost finished with it. On Friday we went to Zak's parents and we went bowling where I bowled a 176- I beat everyone- and out to eat with the family. On saturday we visited with both families, then headed home, but stopped in Preston for their festival lights, which is so fun to see all the floats have lights on them.
Our Little Indian, Hallee's headband that she made at preschool- her name is Singing Bird
Since it is nearing Thanksgiving I would like to share a few things I'm thankful for. 1. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family (my family, inlaws) 2. I am thankful for a great husband and father to my children, he works so hard to provide for us and I appreciate it. 3. I am thankful for my 2 beatiful girls, who keeps us so busy, but keep us laughing. 4. I am thankful for our Savior, the gospel, the atonment, the temple. For the values that our church believes in. 5. I am thankful for our new home and the great area we live in. 6. I am thankful for friends. 7. I am thankful for good health. If you read this, leave me comment telling me a few things you are thankful for! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Blyss loves to dress up, either she has on the princess attire, crown, necklace, and ring, or she has my high heel shoes on with a purse, but when I came out from getting ready one morning she had on Zak's hat and she looked so cute. She makes me laugh, she is also into hiding- especially when it is time to get dressed or change a diaper, she hides behind my clothes in our closet or under her crib, or under the desk, but more than hiding she loves to be found, she laughs and claps her hands when you find her and says HI. Every morning when she wakes up she comes out and says, "Good Morning." When she sees Hallee for the first time in the morning she says, "Good Morning Hallee." I can't believe how much she is already saying. We sure do get a kick out of Blyss and her little fire ball personality.
We had such a great Halloween! And we were also so happy to have Zak's parents come and spend it with us. Our ward put on a great Halloween party with games, dinner, and a spook alley. The girls looked so cute in their costurmes, Blyss was a lady bug and Hallee was a fairy. On Saturday Zak's parents took him birthday shopping and we had a great time with them, we are sure glad they came to visit.
.jpg) On Monday night was Hallee's Halloween Dance Recital. The girls wore their Halloween costumes. I was so proud of Hallee she did a pretty good job. Most important I'm so glad that she didn't cry. For the past couple of weeks Hallee's dance teacher has had us come in and watch them do their dance each time Hallee has cried, she will be crying with her head down but still doing the dance. It was so much fun, after their dance they played games and we had treats. Sorry there is no sound to the video- all we have is a camera that records.
Last night we decided it was time to carve pumpkins, Blyss and Hallee loved it, Blyss was even eating the insides of the pumpkin- I guess she thought it tasted pretty good. The girls were covered in pumpkin insides. Here is what our pumpkins turned out to look like. I hope everyone has a great Halloween! Yesterday we took Hallee and Blyss in for Flu Shots. Hallee kept telling us she didn't need a flu shot and that she didn't want one. Hallee was the first to get her shot and was screaming and crying before she even got it. Blyss thought it was no big deal. We leave the room and as we are walking out Hallee turns to Zak and says with fire in her eyes, "I told you I didn't want the flu shot!" And she kept on crying and telling us that her flu shot hurt. Blyss was happy as can be with the sucker they gave her, it didn't even phase her. Hallee had all the nurses laughing with her carrying on. Today was our primary program and Hallee did an awesome job on her part, she got right up to the microphone and said her part very clear and well! We have been practicing the song, I Am A Child Of God, with her, every night before family prayer we sing it, but now she won't let us sing it, she sings it all by herself. If I try to help her sing it, she will tell me, "I told you I can do it". We sure have been getting a kick out of Hallee and her "I told you ..." Here are some pictures of us before church-
Sweet Heart Tag A)The rules are posted at the beginning. B) Each person answers questions about their sweethearts. First, this past week my brother Ty and his wife Erica came and visited us. They live in Payette, Idaho, so we don't see them to much, they have a little boy, Cash, and a little girl, Vanna, so it was so fun to see them.
Zak and Hallee went home to Idaho to help Grandpa move cows. I stayed here in Utah so I could go to the JJ Cole warehouse sell in Logan. About a year ago I saw a girl with the coolest diaper bag, it was a JJ Cole Diaper bag, I asked her where she got it, I checked it out, but they were $70.00, that was quit a bit out of my price range. A friend told me about this warehouse sale, so I had to go and get a diaper bag, I got up early with Blyss and went and stood in line, but I got my diaper bag for $25, I got a baby Bundle Me for $17 (originally $50), a Toddler Bundle me for $19 (Originally $60). It is dang nice stuff, and haven't found anything wrong with the stuff.
More shopping- I went to the mall, which I never do, like 3 times a year, and there was a booth straightening people's hair with their straightner, I was curious and gave it a try, since I've been eyeing to get a new one. I ended up buying one after I struck a deal with the girl, it is 100% ceramic plated, the plates are floating plates, it is awesome and I love it! Finally not a straightner that pulls my hair out, my old straightner- 8 years old- on the right, it has combs on each side of the plate which would pull and break my hair.
When Zak and Hallee got home on Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch and picked out a couple of pumpkins. I thought Hallee would love this, but she was having more fun chasing around the water snake that was there.
I was tagged by my friend Jamie. http://www.poulsenplayground5.blogspot.com/Here are the rules: 1. Link the person who tagged you. 2. Mention rules on blog. 3. Tell about 6 of your quirks. 4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same. 5. Leave a comment to let them know. My 6 quirks: 1. I am obssesive complusive of having a clean house, I like to have everything clean. 2. I do not like things laying around on the floor, I'm constantly picking up after everyone. 3. My girl's hair has to be done everday with a bow in it. 4. I lay out my girl's clothes every night, so when Hallee wakes up she can dress herself, if I don't lay clothes out she picks out her own clothes and she really doesn't care if she matches or not, which drives me crazy. 5. I do not leave the house without any makeup on, unless it is to take Hallee to preschool, where I just drop her off. 6. I have to watch Desperate Housewives every Sunday night. I make dang sure that we are home to watch it. I tag: Sara B., Ashley H., Andrea A., Jenny C., Melissa H., and Stephanie J.
This past weekend we headed to Idaho so Zak could help his family dig spuds. Zak took his Dad's place, since they were up in Northern Idaho for Zak's sister, Paige's, Junior Miss. They got home Sunday night so we got to visit with them for a bit, someone gave Paige a Princess crown, ring, and necklace, Paige gave it to Hallee. Since then Hallee has not taken off her princess attire, on our way home from Idaho we stopped in Pocatello at Artic Cirlce to eat and she was princess of the play land, everyone telling her what a cute princess she is. Once we got home the princess dress is worn all day with the bling.
My brother, Nick, brought over his 5 little puppies to my parents house while we were there, the girls just loved them. They were really good with them, they just held them and petted them. One pup peed on the floor and Hallee was going for the dish rag to clean up, luckily I figured out what she was going to do with the dish rag, before she cleaned it up. Also Hallee and Blyss got to ride around with my Dad in his Skidster(little tractor, I didn't get any pics), they loved it, Hallee even ended up helping my Dad scrape all the manure out of the corralls.

Hallee also started dance this week, she loved it, she wouldn't let me get a good picutre of her though.

This weekend we decided to go check out the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Hallee's preschool class has been learning about dinosaurs, and she also got a new book on Dinosaur's so she was so excited to go. Zak and I have never seen Hallee so excited about something, she was running around, saying look at this and look at this, she made sure we didn't miss a thing. The park was awesome, we definately give it 2 thumbs up. The park also wore the girls out, they slept all the way home.
I have changed names for my little business blog, I have added a few new things. So go check it out http://www.lemondropboutique.blogspot.com/This past week Zak was out of town, so by about 9:00 pm(actually sooner) I am totally worn out, but my girls aren't (they have an endless supply of energy), so this is what they were doing, and I just had to laugh and enjoy them, since they are so cute. In the following clip Hallee and Blyss are having a race and Blyss tries so hard to keep up with Hallee and to win, it is so funny.
Blyss likes to stick both her fingers up her nose and then she just giggles. This weekend we took another trip home. Zak's brother- Rick and his wife Kristal blessed thier baby- Crew. On Friday night we stopped at our good friend's- the High's for a visit, for old time sake we went to Craigo's. Then we went back and hung out at their house, their little boy got a 4 wheeler for his birthday so we all took a little ride on it. It was so fun to see them and hang out for a while, we sure miss them. On Saturday I was able to be with my family, my mom took Hallee shopping for her birthday, Hallee wanted everything she saw, but she finally decided on play horse and the new Barbie movie. On Sunday we went to Crew's blessing and we went to our old ward in Parker, since Rick and Kristal live in the house we used to live in, it was great to see everyone- we lived there 4 1/2 years, the longest we lived anywhere. After words we had a great dinner at Zak's parents. Zak's sister and her husband brought their little pony- Sweetie for entertainment for all the kids. All the kids just loved that little pony. We are so proud of Rick and Kristal and they have one cute little boy!
Today is Hallee's 4th Birthday. I can't believe how time flies, I can't believe how big Hallee is getting, how she is changing, what she is learning- yesterday she wrote her name by herself for the first time- YEAH! For her birthday she wanted a butterfly birthday cake, pizza and a party, so thats what we did.
On Tuesday was Hallee's first day of preschool. She did so awesome! Her teacher, Ms. Tamra is so great. Zak had a harder time than I did, he was really worried about her, I kind of teared up when I went and picked her up, she was standing there waiting and so happy, I was so happy that she had a great 1st day. Hallee wore her Hannah Montana outfit, thats what she calls it, she saw this outfit at Shopko one day when we were shopping, and she wanted it really bad so that she could look like Hannah Montana, so I gave in and bought it, but she looks super cute in it! The night before she wanted her toenails and fingernails painted, and I did her hair up in curlers, she was sure the cutest little preschooler!
This past weekend we were able to go to Idaho. We stayed with Zak's family and had a great time. We went up Thursday night, so on Friday, Blyss and I went to my parent's where I met my brother's girlfriend and she ended up cutting Blyss' hair and mine, she did a great job and Blyss was fascinated by her, she loved looking at her toenails and at her shirt, and liked sitting by her, it was cute. Hallee stayed with her Grandma Miller helping her around the house, and once Zak was done helping his dad, Zak took Hallee for a horse back ride, where they found a turtle walking on the road. On Friday night, Zak's sister, Paige, was so nice and watched the kids while we went out with Zak's parents, bowling and out for ice cream. At my parent's that day I played the Wii bowling and did awesome- 138 and 158, but at the bowling alley I got a 78! On Saturday we went to Tauphatus Park Zoo with my family, My brother Ty and his wife Erica came up from Payette, Idaho, so it was so fun to see them and their two kids, Hallee loved playing with Cash. The zoo was alot of fun and such a great zoo. After the zoo the guys watched the kids and us girls went to Traditions in Rigby- I love, love, love that store! On Saturday night back up at Zak's parents we had a little birthday party for Hallee- Zak's brother Rick and his wife- Kristal came. Hallee got a wagon and a tent. Then we had fun with Crew- Rick and Kristal's new baby, Blyss loved him and kept giving him hugs. On Sunday, both Zak's granparents came over for dinner and it was fun to see them and visit! On Monday, Zak took Hallee for one more horse ride before we headed home, it was quite cold and Hallee was freezing. We had such a fun time and it was great seeing everyone and visiting! So I let the girls go out to play one night while I was cleaning up dishes, this is what I come out to find, the girls playing in mud. Hallee had turned the water faucet on outside and they had a blast- especially Blyss, she was trying to cover every part of herself with mud. This past weekend was Zak and I 7th anniversary. How crazy, the years have just flown by- but they have been good- not necessarily easy, but we both have grown and learned from all the experiences and trials thrown our way. We have two beautiful girls who we just love and have fun with. I am so proud of Zak he works so hard to provide for our family and he is a great dad, and husband. |
